Women’s March TC in conjunction with Traverse Indivisible and Northern Michigan E3 hosted by the Alluvion to hold back-to-back events!
Women’s March TC and Traverse Indivisible will hold a march starting at noon, January 18, 2025.
The National Women’s March for the People! is January 18th, with a big march in downtown TC. We are excited to join with Women’s March TC as we March For the People! The march will begin at noon, starting at Workshop Brewing, 221 Garland Street and will end up lining the Parkway by the Open Space. Here’s the event on Facebook.
The first March was in 2017. NEVER did it seem possible that we would be here again. But MANY of you have joined us for the many Marches, rallies and events since then. We hope you will join us, again, to raise our voices and stand for our Democracy.
While the Women’s March will loop back and line the Parkway, at 1:30 pm you may want to join the Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Walk and Celebration at the Alluvion just a few blocks away (see below).
Northern Michigan E3 will hold a freedom walk and celebration starting at 1:30 PM, January 18, 2025
The Freedom Walk will begin at Rotary Square and continue to The Alluvion, where we will celebrate with speaker Marshall Collins Jr. and guest performer Crystal Turner. Followed by socializing downstairs at NoBo Riverside Food and Drink.
There will be no tickets for the celebration, but E3 will be accepting donations at the door, with all proceeds going to “I Have A Dream Scholarship Fund” for Students in the 5 County Region.(Benzie, Leelanau, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Antrim). Here’s the event on Facebook.
